School is back in session. Perry and Shepherd are off of Easter half term break and the Summer Term has begun. Monday was definitely a Monday, but we got back in the groove by Wednesday and finished the week strong.
Family Update
Having a few scheduled things to look forward to has really been helping our family during this Lockdown season. Pasta Night and Taco Tuesday are the most popular dinner nights right now! We are also getting out of the house everyday to stretch our legs and enjoy beautiful Queen’s Park.
Our newest adventure has been learning to make sourdough bread! A friend gave us some starter that we “feed” to prepare for baking. So far we have made cinnamon rolls and classic sourdough bread. We are making it as a family and the kids love playing with the oooey gooey dough. Also, kneading dough is a great stress reliever. ;)
Redeemer Update
Redeemer continues to "meet digitally" as we continue to move forward in starting this new Church community. The key event we offer every week are The Redeemer Sessions. Right now we're in a seven week collection of talks called Questioning Christianity where we seek to answer some big questions around Christianity and give a few thoughts from the perspective of the Scriptures. We look forward to these Sessions continuing to evolve in the months ahead. Our whole team continues to do a great job with producing Redeemer Kids - check it out if you haven't seen it yet.
We're hoping to care for our community in newer and more innovative ways. We're working on some plans that our team will be bringing out in the next couple of weeks. For now, we're trying to connect with a support anyone who is in need, through this link.
What Else?
Lockdown continues to loom with no clear end in sight. There are rumours of different projections but they seem to be just that: rumours. We feel like we're mentally prepared for this to be a longer rather than shorter season (we think). We're now focusing on adjusting Redeemer's strategies as we continue to look forward to formally launching Redeemer later on in 2020.
Thank you for praying for us. We are grateful to be on this journey with you.
