APRIL REVIEW

April was a big month and left us with a lot to be thankful for. We thank God for a really good couple of weeks. Here's an updated of where we've been...

QUEEN'S PARK EGG HUNT

The wonderful humans who make up Redeemer Queen's Park stepped up in a massive way for the first ever Queen's Park Egg Hunt. This is an event we've looked forward to for years but were prevented by Covid.

We had a great time. 95 children from the community were registered on the day, loads of families came through, and we were really really blown away by how it all came together. We were further encouraged to have a handful of people visit over the last few weeks as well.

Check the @RedeemerQP social channels for some highlight videos of the weekend. It was great. Thank you for your prayers.

TERM BREAK

As we've mentioned before in this space, Perry and Shepherd's schooling is almost on a year-round schedule. Easter marked the end of the "Spring" term - which is hilarious because the temps were cool-leaning-cold and it was still dark outside for most the weeks!

Easter also meant two weeks out of school for the kids. We had a really good and refreshing time catching up with each other. We saw the new Mario movie, took some long walks, and even got out of London for some refreshment.

Perry and Shepherd are back in school now and underway with the Summer Term. They'll break for a week at the end of June and beginning of May and then be out for Summer near the end of July. We're already looking forward to seeing our families again in August on summer holiday.

WHAT ELSE

Redeemer is in a six week study on the person of The Holy Spirit. We're thinking about who the Holy Spirit is, what the Holy Spirit does, and how to connect with the Holy Spirit. After this, we'll study the book of Ephesians for June, July, and August.

We're really encouraged by the positive reception of the new catechism that Thomas and Trevin are working on. If you haven't seen it then check it out - you can subscribe for weekly devotional content.

May will be a very important month of ministry as we'll have our next Member's Night, some teams in from the States, and more connections are kicking off from our amazing staff team.

SHARING THE STORY

As you can imagine, there's so much more about life and ministry that we want to communicate to you but feel constricted. We want to be wise and discerning while also being plain and forthright when possible. In addition to this, we've felt a greater desire over the last year to guard the public updates for how things are going with all of us and especially our children.

This blog has been an honest-but-incomplete picture of our journey. There's no way to tell even most of what happens in a journey like this. What we do communicate is very obviously a 'highlight reel' of sorts. We're thinking about innovative ways to continue sharing the story but that might require some adjustments to how we communicate.

Stay tuned...we may be able to share more and in greater depth in the days ahead.

Thank you for being on the journey with us.

I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

John 15:11
