Christmas is only 34 days away! WHAT! We remember you as you remember us - we hope all is well with you and yours. Thank you for keeping up with us and encouraging us.
Here are a few things we’re praying for in the month of November. If you want to know what’s on our hearts and how to pray - here it is.
JOIN US IN GIVING THANKS
Thanksgiving helps cultivate gratitude and an awareness of God’s activity in our midst and on our behalf. We’re coming up on three and a half years of living in London. Redeemer has celebrated one year of being a new local church community. In this last year of ministry God has been so kind to us as he’s added 20 new members, seven baptisms, and two new elders.
Thank God for giving grace to endure, protecting us in his mercy, and glorifying Himself in so many ways.
QUEEN’S PARK CAROL SERVICE
Plans are underway for what will be the third Queen’s Park Carol Service. This gathering has been the highlight of each year of ministry since we moved to London. We’re gathering on Saturday 10 December at Salusbury Primary at 4 in the afternoon.
Please pray that our amazing volunteers and leaders would work wisely and diligently as they prepare. Please pray for our community to hear the story of God’s love for the world and Jesus, our Saviour.
FINAL WEEK OF ECCLESIASTES
Redeemer has only three weeks left in studying the book of Ecclesiastes. It seems like this has been a really helpful study for many in Redeemer.
Please pray that we’d put what we’ve learned into practice. Pray that God would make us a group of people who hear, trust, and obey what God has for us.
A NEW WRITING PROJECT
Thomas and his friend Trevin Wax are embarking on a new writing project that will directly benefit Redeemer Queen’s Park. They’re working together on a new, modern, catechism for the church today. This will begin as a weekly set of Q&A, themes, and commentary. They’re working on the content for Redeemer from week-to-week for all of 2023.
Please pray that God would give them wisdom as they write. Please pray that the catechism would build up and strengthen Redeemer.
GROWING DEEP AND WIDE
Redeemer is in a two-year strategic-ministry-vision where we’re asking God to grow us spiritually deep, organisationally strong, and numerically wide. We’re preparing for a new round of church membership over the next couple of weeks and it’s encouraging to see how God has been at work growing His Church right in our midst.
Please pray that Redeemer would indeed grow spiritually deep through applying the truths in the book of Ecclesiastes. Please pray that Redeemer would grow wide as new members join the church through church membership in the next month.
THOMAS AND TIME
Thomas is settling in from a busy few weeks of travel: a church conference where he served on staff for seven good years in Raleigh (Providence Church) and then a three day conference with Co-Mission Network back in England. This is a very busy season for us and we need God to settle our hearts in what is simply not a settled family rhythm.
Please join us in thanking God for keeping Thomas safe as he traveled and pray for all of our settledness back here at home together.
STRENGTH FOR ELIZABETH
Elizabeth is carrying the load by herself for these few weeks while she carries on at work and remains very involved in the life of the school.
Please pray that God would strengthen her and give her extra grace and discernment for how to love and lead Perry and Shepherd.
PEACE FOR PERRY AND SHEPHERD
Please join us in asking God to give Perry and Shepherd a deep sense of peace. Worry and unsettledness hearts have been been real.
Please pray that our children would trust in God. Please pray that they would relax as they realise that God is in control.
Thank you for praying with us.
I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.
