Thank You

We have officially celebrated our second Thanksgiving in London! This years celebration looked quite different from last year. Here is a little glimpse of our 2020 Lockdown Thanksgiving. Importantly, we simply wish to say THANK YOU...

Since Thanksgiving is not a holiday in the UK it is very much business as usual. We decided to go ahead to send Perry and Shepherd to school, but started their day with a special coffee cake breakfast. Thomas and I took a nice long walk after drop-off and then headed home to get our prep underway. We chopped and sautéed and mixed all the things. I set the table with cloth napkins, Waterford crystal and pretty flowers. Both of the kids LOVE to have a fancy dinner.

We FaceTimed some sweet friends and family after school and watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (thank you YouTube). We all dressed up for dinner, which made my heart very happy! We enjoyed our delicious Thanksgiving dinner with Red Velvet cake for dessert. Thankfulness for Lulu, family, friends, a warm house and yummy food was shared.

Running through it all is a gratitude for God. Everything that came our way over this last year had to pass through his perfect hand before reaching us. He has shown us much grace and allowed some sanctifying moments to be ours.

Our family is very thankful for YOU during this unique season. For all who follow us on this little wondering journey...Thank you. Thank you for praying for our family! Thank you for your rich and varied support! Thank you reading our blog and keeping up with what is going on! Thank you for loving us from afar! We hope that everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving!

But now, this is what the Lord says—

he who created you, Jacob,

he who formed you, Israel:

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;

I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

When you pass through the waters,

I will be with you;

and when you pass through the rivers,

they will not sweep over you.

When you walk through the fire,

you will not be burned;

the flames will not set you ablaze."

Isaiah 43:1-2
